3. Graphite visco memory foam
The mattress incorporates graphite-infused memory foam designed to contour to the body and relieve pressure points. The graphite infusion helps draw heat away from the body, assisting with temperature regulation throughout the night.

What’s it like to sleep on the Crown Posture Bedding Reserve Louis Mattress?
The Crown Posture Bedding Reserve Louis range offers three comfort options – Luxury Plush, Luxury Medium and Luxury Firm.
It’s worth noting that the overall feel of this range sits on the softer side compared with many mattresses on the market. Even the firmer option maintains a fairly cushioned and luxurious feel, which is consistent with the premium positioning of the Reserve collection.
The Luxury Plush version delivers a very soft and spongy feel with excellent pressure relief. It allows the body to settle nicely into the mattress while still maintaining good overall support, and importantly we did not experience any excessive dipping or sinking. For such a soft mattress it holds the body in a well-balanced sleeping position.
Our testing team rated the Luxury Plush at 3 out of 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest).
Luxury Plush
The Luxury Medium version retains that comfortable, spongy character but with slightly more underlying support. It still offers very good pressure relief and contouring while providing a bit more resistance than the Plush version. Our team rated the Luxury Medium at 4.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale.

The Luxury Firm version is the most supportive option in the range, though it still feels relatively soft compared with many firm mattresses. It maintains the cushioned, premium feel of the range while offering noticeably greater support and stability. Our team rated the Luxury Firm at 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale.

Overall, this range will likely appeal to sleepers who enjoy a softer, more luxurious feel while still wanting good underlying support. The three firmness options provide some variation, but each sits within the softer end of the firmness spectrum compared with many other mattresses.

The Crown Posture Bedding Reserve Louis mattress demonstrates a very high level of overall quality and craftsmanship. The finishing, stitching, upholstery and panel construction are all excellent, and it is difficult to fault the overall build quality. This level of presentation and construction is consistent with its positioning as a premium, Australian-made mattress.
With a profile of around 40cm, the Reserve Louis is a very tall mattress. Depending on the exact comfort version, the height may vary slightly, but all versions sit within the high-profile category. As such, you may need deep-fitting sheets (sometimes sold as “extra deep” or “super queen” sheets for a queen size) to ensure a proper fit.

The mattress is also quite heavy – a queen size weighs around 70kg. While this weight reflects the substantial construction and premium materials used, it does mean the mattress can be difficult to move without assistance. Fortunately, the mattress includes securely attached side handles, which help make lifting, rotating and positioning the mattress easier.
Edge support is excellent across the entire range. Even the softer Luxury Plush version maintains a very stable edge, which is impressive for such a soft mattress. This allows sleepers to comfortably utilise more of the mattress surface and also makes sitting on the edge feel secure.
Partner disturbance is also kept to a minimum. The pocket spring design helps absorb movement well, so most partner movements during the night are unlikely to be disruptive. As with most mattresses, larger sizes such as king and super king will generally offer even better motion isolation.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend this mattress to be used with a bed base with solid slats (not flexible/posture slats), such as the Atlantis Bed Base.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation may void the mattress warranty.

What happens if I notice a fault?
The Crown Posture Bedding Reserve Louis mattress is backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
As with most mattress warranties, the mattress must be used on a suitable and supportive bed base and handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s care instructions to maintain coverage. It is also recommended to rotate the mattress periodically to help promote even wear and maximise its lifespan.
