Purchase and delivery
The Koala Brunswick Bed Base can be ordered online (through the Koala website) and it will arrive at your door in 3 separate boxes.

This bed base comes in a choice of 3 modern colours ‘Bush Walk’, ‘Corner Store’, and ‘Limestone’.
The delivery system for this bed base included an impressive text message service that offered a number of different delivery days and times. We were instructed to select one or more of these options that best suited us.
The Koala Brunswick Bed Base comes with plenty of good quality packaging (boxes, bubble wrap, plastic wrapping), presumably to ensure that the components are well protected during transport.
Included in the packaging is an easy to follow instruction (assembling) booklet.
Assembling
As with other Koala bed bases, this product is cleverly designed in terms of its assembly. You won’t need any tools (Allen keys, screwdrivers, spanners) and the instructions are easy to follow.
We would highly recommend having two people on hand to assemble this bed base. If this is possible, it should only take around 5 minutes to assemble (once all of the packaging has been removed).
With that said, it is still possible to assemble this bed base with one person.

Once assembled, the Koala Brunswick Bed Base presents with a clean, modern style. There should be a colour to match your bedroom decor theme.
Stability and practicality
The Koala Brunswick Bed Base uses 4 sections of solid slats that create a stable surface, suitable for any mattress. These slats provide good support for a mattress as well as good ventilation. The distance between each slat is 4.8cm.
The overall quality of the pine, fabrics, and attachments is excellent, and the components were easy to put together.
It’s also worth noting that there is a generous 19cm of storage space underneath.
The bed base does exceed the dimensions of the mattress slightly, but this extra length and width is minimal. So, it’s unlikely that you will be knocking or banging your shins on the sides.
